Chemik, Yingli Solar, and Matrix Renewables will participate in the Future Energy Summit Iberia 2025, to be held on June 24 in Madrid. They will share the space with industry leaders such as Repsol, Galp, and Sonnedix, at an event that will bring together more than 400 executives to discuss key trends in the energy market.
Future Energy Summit (FES) Iberia 2025 will bring together more than 400 executives from the public and private sectors on June 24 at the Colegio de Caminos, Betancourt Auditorium, in Madrid. This third edition is shaping up to be a key opportunity for analyzing business opportunities in renewable energy and presenting new technologies.
Senior executives will participate in this event, including Héctor Erdociain, CSO and CTO of Chemik Group; Luis Contreras, Managing Director of Yingli Solar; and Luis Miguel Álvarez, Vice President of Development for Europe and Latin America at Matrix Renewables. The three executives will participate in technical and strategic discussions where technological solutions, investment models, and market perspectives will be discussed.

The full FES Iberia 2024 event
In addition to its robust analytical and debate content, FES Iberia is renowned for its strategic networking, where key agreements and partnerships for the energy transition are forged. In 2024, the event featured private meetings, high-level exchange spaces, and an exclusive VIP cocktail party that brought together the sector’s leading investors and developers. Technological innovation and strategic positioning
Chemik will use the space to present its TCS Series system, a comprehensive solution for overhead cable installation in photovoltaic projects that optimizes time, reduces costs, and eliminates trenches. “This system allows the cables to be separated from the torque tube, minimizing thermal losses and improving installation,” explains Héctor Erdociain.
The TCSMULTICAB solution, part of this line, has a direct impact on reducing CAPEX. “A 300 MW project costs approximately €2.5 million in trenches. With this system, the cost drops to approximately €500,000,” states the executive. In addition, the company will present its Checkness system, which transforms the electrical installation into a modular system, and String+, a technology that optimizes string configuration and reduces CAPEX by up to 4%.

“In a networking event, meeting determined people is what sets FES apart from other industry events,” Erdociain emphasizes, highlighting the technical quality of the attendees.
Luis Contreras, of Yingli Green Energy Europe, will participate with the goal of strengthening the company’s presence in the regional market. “At FES Iberia, we’re looking to position our brand in the minds of customers,” he states. In his view, the current scenario imposes new demands: “There’s a lot of disinvestment. There isn’t a significant volume of photovoltaic-only projects without batteries in Spain,” he warns.
Contreras also highlights the pressure generated by oversupply in the global market. “We produce twice the capacity compared to actual demand. There’s a fragmentation of manufacturers that the market can’t sustain,” he notes, while expressing a strong criticism of US tariffs: “Over-protection is going to damage the US market. We already experienced it in Europe in 2016, and it was a disaster.”
Meanwhile, Luis Miguel Álvarez, Vice President of Development for Europe and Latin America at Matrix Renewables, will provide the company’s perspective on growth strategies, storage, and the evolution of financing for large projects. Álvarez has participated in panels on asset management and storage systems at previous editions of FES, and his presence reaffirms Matrix’s interest in consolidating its presence in the Iberian market.
