Growatt, a global leader in distributed energy solutions specializing in the generation, storage, and consumption of sustainable energy, as well as in energy digitalization, announces the expansion of its off-grid range with several launches in 2025.
In its ongoing pursuit of excellence and contribution to achieving Europe’s set goals, Growatt expands its off-grid product line with the addition of its new monophase hybrid inverter SPE 8000-12000 ES along with the new low-voltage HOPE 5.0L-B1 batteries.
With these new launches, Growatt is making significant strides toward the future of clean energy generation and energy storage in its fight against decarbonization.
Joining the Growatt SPF 3500-5000 ES and SPF 6000 ES Plus off-grid solutions, the new hybrid inverter SPE 8000-12000 ES offers three power options: 8kW, 10kW, and 12kW with integrated ATS (automatic transfer switch) functionality, ensuring a transition of <20ms, which guarantees power supply for critical loads even in case of a blackout, by adding a diesel generator to the system.
The new SPE 8000-12000 ES stands out with its dual AC input and output for energy input from the grid and the generator. Additionally, its plug-and-play photovoltaic terminals make installations more efficient and save time for installers.
This off-grid monophase inverter, up to 12kW, also allows grid connection, features 2 MPPTs, and a DC/AC ratio of 2.0, enabling the over-sizing of the PV installation to generate more power during hours with less solar radiation, such as early and late hours of the day.

Another key feature is the ability to parallel up to 9 units, allowing the plant’s power to be expanded up to 108kW. The manufacturer highlights that the maximum input currents per string have been increased to 27A, making it compatible with higher power modules.

The new SPE 8000-12000 ES is compatible with the newly launched low-voltage HOPE 5.0L-B1 battery, made up of 5kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) cells per battery module. It offers incredible flexible expansion capacity, allowing up to 10 modules per inverter, providing a total system storage capacity of 50kWh, scalable up to 240kWh by connecting up to a maximum of 48 modules in parallel.
