Gonvarri Solar Steel has reached a new supply agreement with Zelestra (formerly known as Solarpack) for the Socovos II photovoltaic project, located in Albacete, Spain. The agreement involves the supply of 34 MW of its 1P solar trackers, which will be key to the infrastructure of this solar plant.
The Socovos II project will install 712 solar trackers in single-row and double-row configurations, which will house over 5,300 high-capacity modules. These modules will be prepared to generate approximately 68,386,580 kWh of clean energy each year, significantly contributing to the region’s energy transition.
This agreement strengthens the solid relationship between Gonvarri Solar Steel and Zelestra, who had already announced last month a contract for the supply of 165 MW in other projects across Spain. To date, both companies have collaborated on solar projects totaling around 900 MW, consolidating a strategic partnership based on trust and their shared commitment to the development of innovative renewable energy solutions.
The Albacete region, like the rest of Spain, greatly benefits from such projects. Spain, known for its strong commitment to clean energy, continues to advance its transition towards a more sustainable energy model, where innovation and collaboration between key players like Gonvarri Solar Steel and Zelestra play a fundamental role.
This new project at Socovos II underscores the leading role of both companies in renewables and reaffirms their leadership in driving greater adoption of clean energy, not only in Spain but globally.
