With the participation of the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) and Europe’s most influential energy associations, the second edition of the Storage, Renewable and Electric Vehicles Integration Forum kicks off today. Held entirely online and free of charge, the event will bring together key players in the European energy transition across two days — May 21 and 22 — including regulators, companies, analysts, and policymakers.

Organized by Strategic Energy Corp, in collaboration with Strategic Energy Europe and Mobility Portal Europe, the forum will address critical challenges and emerging strategies around renewable energy, grid storage and the integration of eMobility.

The event opens with an exclusive interview with Norela Constantinescu, Acting Director of IRENA’s Innovation and Technology Centre, who will outline the global and European outlook for 2025. Topics will include which technologies are poised to lead the transition, the acceleration of battery storage, the timeline for green hydrogen, and the expected evolution of LCOE for solar and wind.

In the first major session, leaders from SolarPower Europe, Hydrogen Europe, EASE (European Association for Storage of Energy) and AELEC will assess whether Europe is on track to meet its 2030 targets. The panel will also explore the implications of the Net Zero Industry Act, the regulatory and structural barriers facing the sector, and how Europe can scale solar, wind, hydrogen and storage technologies to reinforce its grid resilience.

A robust corporate lineup will follow, with leading companies such as GCL SI, SMA Italia, Everyray, Suntech, Solplanet, FlexGen and Diprem presenting the latest in high-efficiency modules, granular silicon, project digitalization, automation tools and scalable storage solutions for utility-scale deployments.

Midday, the forum will feature a special keynote introducing FES Iberia 2025, a major in-person event to be held in Spain that is expected to gather top-tier energy players from across Europe. The session will preview the forum’s agenda and strategic focus.

Later today, a Spanish-language technical panel will explore the convergence between solar efficiency and battery storage, analyzing the impact of the recent Iberian blackout and identifying technical and financial pathways to overcome scalability challenges in the Iberian market.

To close the day, a panel of top analysts from AleaSoft, 360 Energy, Sólida, Licencia Social Energy, and Agere will offer projections on European energy pricing, financial volatility, investment strategies, and the increasingly critical role of social acceptance in project development.

Tomorrow, May 22, the event will shift entirely to electric mobility. The day will open with a featured interview with Philippe Vangeel (EV Belgium), followed by technical discussions on fast-charging infrastructure, EU–LatAm cooperation, and a live data presentation by Mobility Portal Data.
