Today, Energía Estratégica will host a virtual conference focused on how Latin American developers can integrate renewable energy technologies (solar PV, wind power), battery energy storage systems (BESS), digitalisation tools and emerging innovations to strengthen project competitiveness, looking ahead to 2026.

Latin America’s power market is entering a phase of strategic evolution. Companies across the region must scale projects, diversify technologies and maintain profitability in an environment shaped by new regulations, increasing competition and rapid technological change. Long-term planning and integration strategies are becoming essential.

Senior representatives from global and regional players—including Ángela Castillo (Black & Veatch), Luis Contreras (Yingli Solar), Luis Castillo (SolaX Power), Jorge Ospina (Solis), Claudio Loureiro (GCL), Andrés Pinilla (Risen Energy) and Jorge Cernadas (Ventus)—will share insights during the event.

On December 9, Strategic Energy will host the virtual event “Strategies to Scale and Diversify Renewable Energy and Storage Portfolios” in Spanish. The summit will bring together technology providers, project developers, renewable power producers and EPC contractors from across the international clean energy ecosystem.

Starting at 11:00 (Argentina–Uruguay–Chile–Brazil) | 09:00 (Colombia–Peru–Panama) | 08:00 (Mexico–Guatemala) | 15:00 (Spain), senior industry leaders will discuss how to transition from individual project development to fully consolidated portfolios that integrate battery energy storage systems (BESS) and digitalisation as key drivers of value.

The event will open with a panel titled “From Panel to Portfolio: Investment, Technology and Execution in the New Renewables Cycle.” The session will focus on the industry’s shift from stand-alone renewable projects to diversified, financially robust portfolios. In a context of regulatory changes and increasing market competition, understanding how to align investment strategies, technology selection and efficient execution has become critical.

Leading renewable energy companies and international market players will share strategic insights and concrete case studies on optimising CAPEX, OPEX, shortening development timelines and ensuring sustainable returns in multi-technology portfolios. Integrated execution and process standardisation will be among the central discussion points.

The summit will also feature a keynote presentation by SolaX Power, a company accelerating its expansion across Latin America and preparing to deploy its first centralised generation or hybrid (generation + storage) projects in the region. Initial initiatives of 10–20 MW are expected to begin materialising over the coming years.

The second segment, “Innovation in Wind, Solar PV and Energy Storage to Accelerate Portfolio Diversification,” will explore how digital tools, improved battery system performance and the evolution of cost curves are enabling the expansion of renewable portfolios while strengthening the resilience of national power systems.

Panellists will address how to combine these technologies in utility-scale renewable plants, stand-alone storage systems or hybrid parks. Technical criteria for diversification and strategies to anticipate the future evolution of the main electricity markets will also be key topics.

The final session, “Road to FES Iberia: Investment Perspectives for Renewable Energy,” will serve as a strategic preview of the Future Energy Summit (FES) Iberia, scheduled for February 12 in Madrid, Spain. The event will mark the launch of the 2026 FES global tour, which will include nine strategic destinations throughout the year.

Discussions will focus on international renewable energy investment trends, highlighting capital flows, regulatory conditions and emerging initiatives that could drive new renewable and storage portfolios—particularly between Latin America and Europe.

This initiative reinforces the mission of Energía Estratégica and Future Energy Summit to strengthen regional dialogue, promote technological innovation and foster public-private collaboration around the challenges and opportunities of the global energy transition.

With the participation of leading renewable energy companies, policymakers and technical experts, the event positions itself as a key virtual forum for strategic market analysis and investment planning across Spanish-speaking Latin America.
