Solaria has announced the purchase of 1,102 MWh of batteries, which will be installed in six of its projects in Spain. These units will be managed through an automated energy optimisation software based on artificial intelligence, enabling maximum efficiency and operational flexibility within the national electricity system.
Commissioning will take place progressively from December this year. The company will allocate more than €80 million to this initiative, reaffirming its commitment to technological innovation and the transition towards a more sustainable energy model.
Darío López, Solaria’s Chief Executive Officer, stressed: “Our firm commitment to storage not only optimises our generation, but also expands our business opportunities and strengthens our leadership position in the sector. Hybridisation on existing facilities, with lower costs and shorter timeframes, allows us to move forward decisively in the energy transition, generating real and sustainable value from day one.”
