SISENER is participating in the 2025 edition of the PV Book with a technology proposal designed to address the structural challenges of the renewable energy industry: intermittency, efficiency, grid integration and operational performance. Headquartered in Zaragoza and supported by more than 250 professionals, the Spanish firm combines its track record in energy engineering with solutions tailored to the new global phase of renewable energy growth.

At the heart of its proposal is the design of smart hybrid systems that integrate technologies such as solar photovoltaic (solar PV), wind power, battery energy storage systems (BESS) and even green hydrogen, depending on the energy potential of each site. This approach enables customised configurations for environments that demand high reliability, where renewable energy must operate continuously, predictably and safely.

Among its main applications are off-grid systems and grid-connected projects—whether industrial or utility-scale—offering solutions where technological integration is essential to reduce emissions, minimise interruptions and enhance energy coverage. The tailored design approach allows plant size and configuration to be adjusted according to resource availability and client needs.

In addition, the company stands out for delivering high efficiency and operational reliability, reducing both CAPEX and OPEX, while simplifying integration with emerging technologies such as green hydrogen and advanced backup systems.

One of SISENER’s most distinctive developments is SAGLAN, an all-in-one digital platform created jointly with SAROEN, designed to manage solar, wind and storage plants throughout construction, operation and maintenance (O&M).

During construction, SAGLAN enables detailed monitoring of project progress through a digital twin, improving planning, optimising resource use and reducing costs associated with delays or oversizing. In operation, it uses AI-based advanced analytics, enabling proactive adjustments and data-driven decisions that enhance overall asset performance.

The platform provides a concrete response to the need for digital tools capable of monitoring, in real time, the technical and economic behaviour of each plant, giving developers greater autonomy and strategic visibility over their assets.

SISENER also incorporates advanced electrical modelling to ensure that each plant operates harmoniously with the power grid. This includes impact assessments, protection coordination, load flow analysis and optimal system sizing, allowing developers to optimise technical components, avoid design errors and reduce electrical losses.

This type of modelling not only avoids oversizing-related cost overruns, but also supports precise equipment selection—directly influencing final project performance. It also enables grid expansion and reinforcement studies, providing added value for developers looking to plan medium- and long-term growth.
