Norvento has unveiled TECHnPower, a new brand representing its technology division and its commitment to state-of-the-art innovation after more than 40 years in the sector.

TECHnPower will integrate all ranges of Norvento’s disruptive technological products for the generation, management, and storage of energy, all designed and manufactured in Lugo. These include its nED100 wind turbines, nGM power electronics converters, and nBESS battery energy storage systems.

TECHnPower also reflects Norvento’s upcoming technological shift: its entry into the Utility-Scale technology market, signalling a new phase for the company, which until now has focused on products for the commercial and industrial (C&I) and self-consumption sectors.

The brand name results from combining the words TECH (to stress the company’s unwavering belief in innovation since its founding over 40 years ago), the lowercase ‘n’ of Norvento, and Power, as a nod to the company’s focus on energy and technological strength.

Purpose-Driven Innovation

TECHnPower encompasses Norvento’s current technological solutions, 100% designed and manufactured in Lugo, while also incorporating new innovations to be unveiled in the coming months. These include a new family of Multi-MW utility-scale power converters and a range of high-performance wind turbines for large-scale repowering and self-consumption applications. All these systems will be designed following key principles: robustness, maximum efficiency, operational intelligence, and sustainability.

neFO: The Factory of the Future, Today

TECHnPower is closely linked to the development of neFO, Norvento’s groundbreaking self-sufficient and emissions-neutral factory in Lugo. Once operational, this facility will house the production of all TECHnPower equipment and serve as a living demonstration of the sustainability principles that guide the company. It is estimated that the plant will prevent the annual emission of 187,000 tonnes of CO₂.

The European Commission has acknowledged the significance of the neFO project, awarding it €27.5 million through the Innovation Fund—one of the world’s most important initiatives for supporting low-carbon technologies. Of the 337 projects submitted from 27 countries, neFO was one of 77 selected, and the only one led by a Spanish company in its category, focused on manufacturing components for renewable energy with a particular emphasis on storage solutions.
