En 15 días del 2024 avanzan más de 2 GW de renovables En los últimos 15 días. El MITECO responde a más de 1 GW de potencia renovable y desestima 523 MW

In November, Spain’s Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITECO) issued six resolutions concerning renewable energy projects. These include the approval of 391.69 MW in photovoltaic capacity and 200 MW in energy storage, although Energía Estratégica España also reported the rejection of wind projects.

Among the approved projects, the “ST Palmosilla” Storage Plant in Cádiz stands out, having received a favorable environmental impact assessment. Promoted by Roldwin, this standalone battery project, with a capacity of 200 MW, is one of the largest being installed in Spain.

Iberdrola is advancing with the “FV Caparacena” photovoltaic solar installation in Granada, which has been granted public utility status for a capacity of 274.96 MW. This project spans several municipalities in Granada and marks significant progress in solar generation capacity in Andalusia, a region with high photovoltaic potential.

Additionally, Iberdrola secured prior administrative authorization for the “Cerro del Palo” photovoltaic generation module, with a capacity of 41.244 MW. This project will be hybridized with the existing wind farm in Vara de Rey, Sisante, and Tébar, optimizing infrastructure and contributing to more efficient and sustainable energy generation.

ACCIONA obtained prior administrative authorization for the “Hoyuelas-Rosales” photovoltaic plant in Albacete. This project, with a capacity of 23.760 MW, will also be hybridized with the “Hoyuelas-Rosales” wind installation in Almansa.

The final approved project is “Iron 1,” located in Valladolid and promoted by Iron Power Energy. With a capacity of 51.725 MW, it has been granted public utility status and will be installed in Torrecilla de la Abadesa and Villalar de los Comuneros.

However, MITECO has also rejected wind projects totaling 99 MW in Aragón. The wind farms “Gomeisa” and “Vela,” located in Huesca and Zaragoza respectively, each with a capacity of 49.5 MW and promoted by Forestalia, failed to obtain prior administrative authorization.
