Marcelo Álvarez, currently Head of Institutional Relations & Development at Coral Energía, has been elected as the new President of the Argentine Chamber of Renewable Energy (CADER) for the 2026–2027 term.
He will be joined by Agustín Siboldi, partner at O’Farrell, as Vice President; Martín Dapelo, founding partner at On Networking, as Secretary; and Alejandro Parada, Project Manager at Silvateam, who will serve as CADER’s Treasurer.
The election of the principal and alternate members of the Board of Directors, along with the Accounts Reviewer for the 2026–2027 period, took place during CADER’s Ordinary General Assembly. During the session, members also evaluated the outgoing Board’s performance, including the annual report, financial statements, inventory, and audit review for the fiscal year ending 30 June 2025.
Following the Assembly, CADER members participated in the traditional year-end toast together with representatives from several associated companies—an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of 2025, express appreciation for ongoing support, and renew their shared commitment to advancing sustainable energy development in Argentina ahead of the challenges expected in 2026.
With this appointment, Marcelo Álvarez returns to the presidency of CADER four years after his last mandate. He previously led the organization across three consecutive terms between 2015 and 2021.
Álvarez also serves on the Board and acts as LATAM Task-Force Coordinator at the Global Solar Council (GSC), an international entity bringing together associations from both emerging and mature markets, as well as companies across the solar value chain.
