Future Energy Summit (FES), one of the leading energy sector forums in Ibero-America and Europe, has confirmed the date and location for its Iberian edition. FES Iberia – Renewables & Storage 2026 will take place on February 12, 2026, in Madrid, positioning the Spanish capital once again at the centre of the regional energy debate.
With energy storage as a strategic pillar for renewable deployment, the event will bring together top energy companies, regulators, public officials, and senior decision-makers to discuss regulatory progress, emerging business models, and the projects shaping the future of the Iberian energy market.
Madrid will once again become a key meeting point for the regional energy ecosystem with the return of Future Energy Summit Iberia – Renewables & Storage. The 2026 edition will focus on how storage technologies are enabling grid integration, accelerating renewable energy deployment, and supporting energy security across the Iberian Peninsula.
As in previous editions, FES Iberia will also stand out for its high-level networking environment, where executives from leading renewable energy, energy storage, and infrastructure companies explore new commercial opportunities and strategic partnerships.
The Madrid event will mark the first stop of the 2026 Future Energy Summit international tour, which will later visit major energy hubs across Ibero-America and Europe. In its previous edition, the summit gathered more than 50 top-tier leaders, including CEOs, government officials, and senior technical experts.
Over the years, Future Energy Summit has built a strong reputation as a platform for corporate visibility and in-depth technical discussion among the most influential voices in the energy sector. At FES Iberia 2025, key speakers included:
-
Julio Castro, CEO of Iberdrola Renovables, the renewable energy arm of Spanish utility Iberdrola
-
Jordi Torres, CEO Renewables Spain at TotalEnergies
-
Jaime Leirado, General Manager, Spain at Recurrent Energy
-
Jesús Heras, Technical Director for Southwest Europe at Wattkraft
-
Javier García Arenas, Chief Corporate Strategy Officer at Cox Group
-
David Ruiz, CEO of Grenergy
The event also featured executives with a strong strategic vision, such as Rocío Sicre, Managing Director of EDP Renewables Spain; Rafael Esteban Fernández, Global Business Development Director at Acciona Energía; Álvaro Pérez de Lema de la Mata, CEO of Saeta Yield; and Enrique Pedrosa, COO of Repsol Low Carbon Generation for Europe and Latin America.
Institutional participation has been another defining element of FES. Previous editions included high-level interviews on renewable energy auction frameworks in Latin America, with figures such as Víctor Hugo Ventura, Minister of Energy and Mines of Guatemala, and Edward Veras, Executive Director of the National Energy Commission of the Dominican Republic. This level of representation highlights the type of leadership consistently attracted by the summit.
Looking ahead to 2026, Manuel Larrasa Rodríguez, Secretary General for Energy and Mines of the Regional Government of Andalusia, has already confirmed his participation. He previously took part in the regional policy panel alongside representatives from Galicia, the Canary Islands, the Valencian Community, and the Region of Murcia, reinforcing the presence of subnational authorities with direct energy policy responsibilities.
Future Energy Summit has proven to be an effective platform for public-private dialogue, creating spaces where commercial agreements, investment decisions, and strategic alliances emerge. FES Iberia 2026 will be no exception, once again convening the leaders shaping renewable energy deployment across Europe and Ibero-America.
With hundreds of participants expected and the backing of the region’s most influential energy companies, FES Iberia Renewables & Storage 2026 will kick off the international renewable energy events calendar for next year. Registration is already open for those interested in attending.
FES Iberia continues to consolidate its position as a must-attend forum to understand how energy storage is evolving in the region and how industry leaders are defining the next stages of the energy transition in Europe and beyond.
