Future Energy Summit (FES) Caribe will return to the Dominican Republic for the fifth consecutive year, once again bringing together leading figures from the energy sector on 20–21 April at the Intercontinental Real Santo Domingo Hotel in Santo Domingo.

The event will take place in a context defined by the growth of renewable energy, the expansion of energy storage systems (ESS) and new investment opportunities in electricity markets across the Caribbean and Central America. As a result, it has consolidated itself as one of the main meeting points for executives, investors, developers and public authorities closely following the evolution of the regional power market.

This ecosystem of companies reflects the event’s positioning as a high-level networking platform for the regional energy industry, particularly for stakeholders involved in renewable energy, energy storage and power sector investment.

What topics are on the agenda?

FES Caribe will take place at a particularly active moment for regional energy development. For example, the Dominican Republic’s recent renewable energy tender received bids for 1,546 MWp of solar capacity and 1,294.57 MWh of battery energy storage systems (BESS), far exceeding the 600 MW originally planned.

Meanwhile, Panama received seven proposals in its 260 MW renewable tender, while Barbados is advancing a call for proposals to award 60 MW / 240 MWh of energy storage, and Honduras is redefining its electricity tender while analysing adjustments to the 1,500 MW originally planned.

TICKETS AVAILABLE

At the same time, power system stability has become one of the main challenges for island markets, as several blackouts across the region have once again highlighted the need to strengthen grid resilience and accelerate the integration of energy storage with renewable generation to improve the reliability of electricity supply.

Over two days of conferences and business meetings, industry executives will analyse the development of solar PV and wind power, the integration of battery storage, financing challenges for energy projects, and the investment opportunities emerging across Central America and the Caribbean.

Don’t miss the opportunity to participate!
