FES Caribe 2026 will consolidate its position as one of the main meeting points for the energy sector in Latin America, with a clear differentiator: the presence of top-level executives currently leading the development of renewable energy and energy storage in the region.
The fifth edition of the event will be held on 20 and 21 April in Santo Domingo, in a context where the Dominican Republic is accelerating its energy transition. The list of speakers confirms the strategic nature of the meeting.
Why? FES Caribe will bring together profiles covering the entire value chain, from manufacturers, developers and financiers to utilities and regulatory authorities.
The public sector will play a key role in the event, with the participation of figures such as Betty Soto, Vice Minister of Energy and Energy Transition of the Dominican Republic, and Edward Veras, Executive Director of the National Energy Commission. Charly de la Rosa will also attend from the same institution, reinforcing the connection between the regulatory and private sectors.
Among the main names are Gonzalo Feito and Héctor Núñez from Sungrow, highlighting a strong presence from one of the most relevant technology players in the global market.
They are joined by key representatives from the structures and components segment, such as Óscar Rubio (SL Rack) and Ángel Alegría (Schletter), while the technology and battery energy storage segment will be represented by executives including Luis Castillo (SolaX Power), Víctor San Román (Pylontech) and Ricardo Garro (CATL).
The ecosystem also includes key players in project development and financing, with names such as Katherine Rosa (Jiménez Peña Advisors) and Antonio Arauz (CIFI) providing structural and financial perspectives; while Vivian Acra (Marsh) and Walter Vargas (FMO) add insights on risk management and investment.

In parallel, María Esparza (ACCIONA) and Alfonso Rodríguez (Soventix/ASOFER) will contribute direct experience in project development and execution.
At a regional level, the event will also feature executives such as Ignacio Mesalles (JA Solar), Juan Maisterra (Gotion), Gerardo Hernández (TCL Solar) and Juan Manuel Rivarola (Antai), along with profiles such as Camille Cruz (FlexGen) and Tirso Selman (Caribbean Transmission Development).
A market in full expansion
The backing of leading companies such as Sungrow, Huawei, CATL, JA Solar, SolaX, Pylontech, Aggreko, CIFI, Marsh, FMO, EGE Haina and other partners confirms the sector’s interest in positioning itself in the Caribbean. The presence of these players not only strengthens the event but also reflects the market’s level of maturity and competition.
This interest is explained by the current context in the Dominican Republic, where energy storage is emerging as a central pillar of energy growth following the EDES-LP-NGR-01-2025 tender, which received proposals totalling 1,546 MWp and 1,294.57 MWh, consolidating a level of competition that nearly triples the tendered capacity (600 MW of renewable energy with battery energy storage systems – BESS).
The process is currently advancing through its decisive phase with the qualitative evaluation of projects. The opening of financial bids is scheduled for 7 April, marking the start of the financial assessment and a potential auction mechanism.
Project awards are expected between 27 April and 5 May, while contract signing is projected for 22 May, setting a key timeline for short-term project development.
With a market undergoing rapid transformation and a strong presence of leaders who are currently defining the sector’s direction, FES Caribe 2026 is positioned as a must-attend event for those seeking to play a leading role in the growth of renewable energy and energy storage in the Caribbean.
