The one-year tender for regulated customers attracted strong competition, with bids totaling 2.5 times the required energy and prices well below the reserve level, reinforcing confidence in Chile’s short-term power procurement framework.
With the first 100 MW now commercially operational, El Quemado becomes the first renewable energy project developed under Argentina’s RIGI investment framework to enter service. The milestone marks a turning point for YPF Luz, as the company doubles its installed solar generation capacity.
The portfolio includes four projects with an operational solar capacity of 588 MW backed by battery energy storage systems (“BESS”) built and located together with a capacity of 1610 MWh.
