Brazil has withdrawn more than 500 solar and wind power permits—around 22 GW of capacity—as developers reassess project viability amid grid constraints, regulatory shifts and tighter financing conditions.
The company’s CEO warned that Chile’s energy transition is at risk due to a regulatory gap that is stalling investment in power grids and disconnecting supply from demand. He also stressed energy storage as a cornerstone of next-generation renewable projects.
The Chinese technology company has launched a comprehensive technical support platform based in Santiago, focused on energy storage solutions and reducing operational costs. “We design solutions tailored to each project,” said Jorge Cabrera, Business Development Manager at Sungrow Power Supply.
The event will take place on 4–5 March in Buenos Aires and will mark the third edition of FES in the country, against a backdrop of sweeping regulatory changes reshaping prices, contracts and forward electricity and capacity market mechanisms.
