Burgenland Energie has developed a wind and solar project portfolio in Burgenland encompassing some 2 000 MW of wind and solar power generation capacity by 2030 – around 20% of Austria’s current solar and wind energy capacity. The EIB has signed agreements for the largest green energy financing package in Austria it has ever been a part of. Project Tomorrow is an important flagship project to make Burgenland one of the world’s first net climate-neutral and energy-independent regions by 2030.

Ingeteam’s rectifiers, globally recognized and used in green hydrogen production, are already operational at Electric Hydrogen’s plants in San José, California, and Devens, Massachusetts. Furthermore, they will now also be integrated into the company’s projects in Europe, including the development and commissioning of 100-megawatt (MW) electrolysis plants.

The two projects, currently under construction at the Sines Refinery, represent a total investment of €650 million. The renewable hydrogen production unit, financed with €180 million, will be one of the largest in Europe. The biofuels unit, financed with €250 million, will produce low-carbon fuels essential for the decarbonization of transport.

Italy successfully concludes the Capacity Market auction for the 2027 delivery period, awarding a total of 38,641 MW between existing and new capacity. However, the most relevant fact is that the valuation price reached its historic low, set at €47,000/MW/year for national capacity, with even lower values for imported capacity.
