BloombergNEF names GoodWe a Tier 1 inverter manufacturer

GoodWe has been recognised as a Tier 1 global power inverter manufacturer by BloombergNEF (BNEF) for the second quarter of 2025, reaffirming its track record in delivering reliable, high-performance solutions for the global clean energy market. The Tier 1 classification highlights GoodWe’s financial strength, demonstrated by its participation in projects financed by top-tier financial institutions.

“This recognition reinforces our role as a trusted partner in the global transition to clean energy,” stated Yingge Wang, Vice President of GoodWe. “With over a decade of experience in renewable energy, we deliver reliable products and lasting value for systems worldwide.”

BNEF’s Tier 1 ranking for power inverters is widely regarded as a benchmark in the industry. The key criterion for this classification is whether projects using a manufacturer’s inverters are likely to receive non-recourse financing from commercial banks. As such, the Tier 1 list serves as a crucial reference point for financial institutions, EPCs, and project developers when assessing a manufacturer’s credibility and the bankability of its solutions.

GoodWe’s inclusion in this list reflects years of consistent investment in technology, manufacturing, and global deployment excellence. Headquartered in China, GoodWe operates five R&D centres. Over 28% of its workforce is dedicated to technological innovation, and around 8% of its annual revenue is allocated to R&D.

Strict quality standards are applied across GoodWe’s inverter, storage system, and heat pump production lines, which are distributed across four manufacturing plants globally. The company’s current inverter production capacity stands at 35 GW. By the end of Q1 2025, GoodWe had achieved a cumulative installed capacity of 100 GW worldwide.

At Intersolar Europe 2025, GoodWe unveiled its next-generation solar energy storage solutions under its EcoSmart Home and EcoSmart Commercial product lines. These systems feature enhanced safety, AI-based smart functions, and increased flexibility. Designed to adapt to diverse markets, GoodWe’s solutions for large-scale installations are also trusted by utility-scale developers, with inverters deployed in projects across Germany, Ireland, Spain, Italy, Greece, China, Malaysia, and India.
