During the Storage, Renewable and Electric Vehicles Integration Forum, organised by Strategic Energy Europe, Arthur Daemers, from SolarPower Europe warned that the rapid deployment of solar energy across Europe is at risk without substantial progress in electrification and regulatory reform. “We need a regulatory revolution to allow batteries to operate freely”, he stated. Although 65 GW were installed in 2024, annual growth dropped to just 4%.
