France advances in the territorialization of the Multi-Year Energy Program with the work of SER

The country prepares to update its Multi-Year Energy Program (PPE), with renewable targets distributed by region. The Syndicat des Énergies Renouvelables of France (SER) has worked on planning and sector representation in regional energy committees. “Each territory will have its own roadmap,” states Jérémy Simon, Deputy General Delegate of SER.

The recent Contracts for Difference (CfD) auction in Romania left more than 1,200 MW of renewable capacity—mainly solar—without subsidies. While wind developers secured contracts at competitive prices, solar projects are now looking for alternatives in the corporate and cross-border PPA markets.
