With a projected investment of USD 900 million over 2022-2026, Genneia is consolidating its leadership in renewable energy development in Argentina. The plan includes the expansion of wind and solar parks across different regions, at a time when the private market is regaining momentum and utility-scale electricity supply is being reshaped.

Today, the company operates more than 1,400 MW of installed capacity, combining solar PV and wind power across 13 parks located in the provinces of Buenos Aires, San Juan and Mendoza. The most recent projects — La Elbita and Anchoriz — are aligned with Genneia’s goal of doubling its solar capacity by 2025, reinforcing a diversified energy matrix capable of adapting to various geographies and demand profiles.

In line with its institutional positioning, Genneia took part in the PV Book 2025, a benchmark publication that features the main players in the regional solar market. Its inclusion highlights a strong photovoltaic track record, based on both installed capacity and projects currently under development.

The company’s growth strategy combines physical infrastructure with significant progress in the corporate renewable-energy market. Through the national MATER scheme — which allows large users to procure renewable electricity — Genneia supplies more than 60 major industrial and logistics clients with certified clean energy. One of the latest cases is its agreement with Coca-Cola Argentina, which will cover 80% of the annual electricity demand of its concentrate plant and logistics centre in Ezeiza.

Beyond power generation, the company is expanding its scope into energy storage systems. In the AlmaGBA tender, focused on BESS projects in the Greater Buenos Aires Metropolitan Area, Genneia was awarded capacity as part of the more than 600 MW granted nationwide. This marks a step forward toward a more flexible and resilient power system.

The investment plan also includes the development of associated transmission infrastructure, a fundamental condition for renewable energy to continue expanding efficiently. In this regard, Genneia operates with a system-wide vision: generation, storage, corporate contracts and supporting works are all part of the same roadmap.

The energy transition requires not only more renewable megawatts, but also a market architecture capable of integrating public and private actors, long-term contracting mechanisms and tools that ensure traceability and price stability. Genneia’s business proposal is built precisely on those pillars.

With this new investment cycle, its institutional presence in the PV Book 2025, and an active agenda of partnerships, the company is strengthening its role as a central player in Argentina’s energy transition. Scale, technological diversification and regulatory foresight are the keys to a strategy that — beyond megawatts — aims to build confidence, predictability and competitiveness in a context where demand for sustainable energy continues to grow.
