The Argentine-German Chamber of Industry and Commerce will hold an intensive and interactive seminar on 13 April titled “Alma SADI – Storage and Renewables: Keys to Argentina’s New Energy System Architecture”. The event will analyse the strategic role of energy storage within the power system and the positioning opportunities for participants in the battery energy storage systems (BESS) market.

The seminar will be delivered in a hybrid format, both at AHK Argentina’s offices and with the option to join virtually.

Registration is available via the following link (limited capacity): https://www.ahkargentina.com.ar/es/veranstaltungen/seminario-intensivo-alma-sadi-almacenamiento-y-renovables-claves-para-la-nueva-arquitectura-del-sistema-energetico-argentino

This initiative takes place in the context of a transformation of Argentina’s energy sector, driven by regulatory changes such as Resolution 400/2025, which introduces new price signals, bilateral contracts and reliability services. This scenario creates growing opportunities for the deployment of energy storage solutions, which are key to supporting renewable energy expansion and strengthening grid stability.

The proposal is led by AHK Argentina’s Energy and Environment Department, which promotes the development of technical capabilities and the analysis of new opportunities in the energy market.

The seminar is designed for developers, investors, large energy users, independent power producers (IPPs), EPC contractors and financiers seeking to understand how to structure competitive BESS projects in Argentina. Throughout the day, regulatory, technical and commercial aspects will be addressed, including storage system design, integration with renewable energy, business models, risk analysis and strategies for participating in the AlmaSADI tender.

The programme will include a comprehensive review of BESS technologies and their evolution in the market, as well as an analysis of key variables such as performance, safety, lifespan and competitiveness. It will also present the main applications of energy storage and their revenue streams, alongside insights into how technological decisions impact project bankability.

The event will feature participation from industry specialists, including Mathias Thamhain, Carlos Skerk and Iciar Vargas, who will share their perspectives on the present and future of energy storage in the country.

During the session, short- and medium-term market perspectives will be analysed, along with the role of energy storage in strengthening Argentina’s power system and the opportunities emerging for different stakeholders in the sector.

The Argentine-German Chamber of Industry and Commerce also operates a training centre called AHK Academy, which offers various courses on energy and sustainability.
