Factiun, a company specialised in the design and supply of structures and trackers for large-scale photovoltaic plants, announces the opening of its subsidiary in Italy, a key step within its international expansion policy and its strategy to strengthen its presence in strategic markets for the energy transition.

The direct entry into the Italian market responds to the sustained growth of the country’s photovoltaic sector, driven by European decarbonisation targets, the increase in utility-scale projects and the need for highly specialised technical solutions adapted both to site conditions and to local regulations.

As part of this expansion, Factiun has strengthened its structure in Italy with the incorporation of strategic profiles with extensive experience in the sector. The new subsidiary will be led by Raffaella Bisconti, who assumes the role of Country Manager – Italy, and will include Andrea Giordano as Construction Manager, thereby reinforcing the company’s technical, operational and project management capabilities in the country.

Italy is consolidating its position as one of the most relevant solar markets in Southern Europe, with a growing pipeline of new developments and a clear focus on technologies that maximise efficiency, durability and land optimisation. In this context, Factiun will bring to the country its know-how in solutions such as Factiun TRX®, its solar tracker, and Factiun FIX®, its fixed-structure system, both designed for large-scale projects and complex environments, including developments that require combining energy production with other land uses, such as agrivoltaics.

Thanks to the adaptability of its structural solutions, Factiun can respond to projects that integrate photovoltaic generation with agricultural activity, a typology that is gaining increasing interest in Italy due to its contribution to sustainability, land-use efficiency and social acceptance of solar installations.

The group also has previous experience in the Italian market, where it has already participated in several photovoltaic projects, providing technical solutions with Factiun TRX® adapted to the specific characteristics of the territory. This prior track record has been key in consolidating the decision to establish a permanent local presence.

In line with this strategic commitment, Factiun is also strengthening its visibility and positioning in the Italian market through its participation in KEY – The Energy Transition Expo, one of Europe’s leading energy sector trade fairs, held in Rimini. Attendance at this event allows the company to strengthen relationships with developers, EPC contractors and key industry players, as well as to showcase its technological solutions for the development of utility-scale photovoltaic projects.

“The opening of this subsidiary in Italy is a natural step in our evolution as an international company. It allows us to be closer to the market, better understand its specific needs and provide high value-added technical solutions, supported by a local team and by the experience accumulated by the group in the country,” says Pablo Landa, CEO of Factiun.

With this expansion, Factiun continues to advance its international growth strategy, which has already led it to develop projects and establish a commercial presence in several European countries, reaffirming its position as a leading technology provider in the renewable energy sector.
