FES Iberia gears up for its fourth edition with sector leaders and a 2026-focused agenda

The leading energy industry event has already confirmed its next edition in the city of Madrid, to be held on 12 February 2026. The agenda will focus on energy storage as a key pillar for renewable energy expansion and will bring together leading public and private stakeholders from across the Iberian Peninsula.

On 12 February 2026 in Madrid, the fourth edition of Future Energy Summit (FES) Iberia – Renewables & Storage 2026 will take place, the most important Hispano-American forum focused on clean energy, energy storage and technology integration.

This event will mark the start of FES’s 2026 international tour, which will include nine events in key markets, positioning the summit as a global benchmark within the renewable energy and energy storage sector.

FES Iberia 2026 will feature broad participation from institutional representatives, senior executives and technology leaders, who will address the challenges and opportunities of the energy transition in a context of industrial transformation, geopolitical change and international investment.

From the institutional and governmental sphere, the participation of Carmen López Ocón stands out. She is Director of Renewable Energies and the Electricity Market at IDAE, a key authority in the design of public policies for integrating renewables into Spain’s power system.

She will be joined by Manuel Larrasa Rodríguez, Secretary General for Energy and Mining at the Junta de Andalucía, providing a regional perspective with a focus on local investment opportunities.

Representing leading utilities and power generators, Rocío Sicre, Managing Director for Spain at EDP Renewables, and Álvaro Pérez de Lema, CEO of Saeta Yield, have confirmed their attendance. Both will share insights into expansion strategies, investment models and portfolio evolution.

From the technology companies and manufacturing side, Andrés Hernando, CTO of Huawei, will contribute his perspective on digitalisation, grid intelligence and asset optimisation. He will be joined by Jesús Heras, Technical Director South-West Europe at Wattkraft, and Oscar Aira, Managing Director Europe & Latin America at GameChange, both focusing on utility-scale solutions and operational efficiency.

In the energy storage and BESS segment, Domingo Jesús López Álvarez, Managing Director of Tera Batteries, and Enrique de Ramón, Global Head of Business Origination & BESS at Zelestra, will analyse trends in large-scale storage, wholesale market integration and the monetisation of flexibility services.

Among companies with a growing presence in Iberia, Carolina Nester, Head of Operations Iberia at Sonnedix, will take part alongside Ángel Alegría, Head of Commercial at Schletter, and Arancha García, Chief Integration & Transformation Officer at Templus. They will address topics related to project implementation, operations and energy business model transformation.

Representing the business and financing ecosystem, Chema Zabala, Managing Director at Alantra Energy Transition, will provide analysis on investment trends, financial instruments and bankable projects. From the association sector, Raúl García Posada, Director of ASEALEN, will contribute insights from self-consumption and distributed generation.

Media coverage will be provided by journalists Emilia Lardizábal and Gastón Fenés from Energía Estratégica, a specialised outlet that closely follows energy market developments in Europe and Latin America.
