Gotion reinforces its regional expansion strategy with a portfolio of high-density energy storage solutions, ranging from 5 MWh to 20 MWh , designed for commercial, industrial and utility scale applications .
Recently presented in PVBook 2025 , the digital catalog prepared by Energía Estratégica, the technologies are designed to respond to the current needs of Latin American projects, with a focus on modularity, efficiency and ease of integration.
Among the flagship products is the Gotion GRID 5MWh , a fully integrated system in a 20-foot container, with an energy density of 5 MWh and a nominal voltage of 1331 V , which incorporates a modular A/B design , allowing for flexible and scalable installation.
This solution is presented in a “plug & play” format , designed to reduce implementation time and facilitate field deployment. The cells used allow for up to 12,000 life cycles , making it more competitive than other technologies on the market.
One of the GRID’s key technical advantages is its advanced cooling system , which combines cell submersion, spray, and liquid cooling , improving thermal efficiency by 30% . This is complemented by intelligent temperature control and cell-level monitoring , ensuring stable operation in demanding environments and contributing to the system’s operational safety. Furthermore, its compatibility with multiple communication protocols makes it a versatile solution for complex or multi-vendor integrations.
Complementing this proposal, Gotion offers the EDGE-Block system , designed for commercial and industrial environments or low-voltage networks , also with a plug-and-play approach and based on LFP-300Ah cells . Its architecture allows scalability from a 42.2 kWh pack to a complete 760 kWh system , with nominal voltages reaching 1,267.2 V. Regarding configurations, the 1P44S , 1P396S, and 2P396S internal schemes stand out , guaranteeing more than 8,000 life cycles .
“EDGE-Block is ideal for urban buildings, industrial facilities, and projects with space constraints ,” the company emphasizes. The system occupies just 3.3 m² , can be handled with a forklift or crane, and is designed for installation on prefabricated foundations , which speeds up commissioning and reduces on-site work .
Global productive and operational expansion
Gotion’s technological advancement is supported by a rapidly expanding industrial network. The company owns a lithium mine in Jujuy, Argentina, and a manufacturing plant in Chicago, USA , in addition to operational centers in China, Asia-Pacific, and Germany , where the GRID system is manufactured.
Production facilities are also under construction in Morocco and Slovakia , which will strengthen its global supply capacity.
Gotion projects to reach a production capacity of 300 GWh in 2025 and 600 GWh in 2030 , in line with the growing global demand for storage systems.
In this context, Latin America becomes a strategic region. Until now, the firm operated mainly in Chile , considered the region’s main BESS market , but in 2025 it began to focus also on Brazil, Mexico, and Colombia .
In Brazil, in particular, Gotion will implement solutions for all segments : from residential and industrial installations to centralized generation projects . In this latter area, the company has already presented containers with capacities of 5, 7, 20, and up to 20 MWh at international trade shows, and plans to replicate its global operating model through strategic alliances .
For the mid-range segment , it will work with local partners , while for the utility scale sector , it offers turnkey solutions , including technical support, commissioning, spare parts and after-sales service .
