K2 Systems at Genera 2025: Mounting systems for roofs, facades and floors

K2 Systems will present its latest mounting systems for photovoltaic installations at the Genera trade fair in Madrid from November 18-20, 2025. At booth D03 in hall 8, the German manufacturer will showcase practical solutions for flat and pitched roofs, with a special focus on trapezoidal metal roofing, as well as systems for ground-mounted installations. Installers looking to leverage the potential of integrated facade photovoltaics will also find suitable solutions at the European leader’s booth. Visitors can enjoy interactive stations, live demonstrations, and an exclusive preview of a new product development, which will be presented for the first time at the trade fair.

Spain is among the fastest-growing markets in the European solar sector. According to SolarPower Europe’s EU Market Outlook for Solar Power report, the country will install approximately 36.8 GW of new photovoltaic capacity between 2025 and 2028. This makes Spain a key market for manufacturers like K2 Systems, a company with over 20 years of experience in the solar sector. “We offer complete mounting system solutions for virtually all applications,” explains Eugenio Segarra Hernandez, Country Manager of K2 Systems Spain. “Our systems are based on a modular principle: the components are perfectly coordinated, can be combined with complete flexibility, and are easily adapted to the size of the project.” The typical phases of a project—planning, assembly, and documentation—are digitally supported and integrated to simplify processes and save time.

Solutions for flat roofs: fast, safe and modular

The K2 Dome 6 product range covers a wide spectrum of applications for flat roofs. The S-Dome 6.10 will be showcased at Genera as an example. New this year, K2 Systems will present the K2 D-Dome 6.10 Xpress LS, which, thanks to its innovative click mechanism, allows for quick and virtually tool-free assembly. This pre-assembled solution is particularly suitable for high loads and large-format modules.

Since load distribution plays a key role in practical applications, K2 Systems has developed new solutions that enhance planning safety and facilitate the execution of demanding projects. One example is the K2 Dome 6 RidgeConnector, which connects module blocks above the ridge, thereby reducing ballast, roof anchors, and material usage. For projects with high pressure distribution requirements, the K2 LoadSolver offers a wider bearing surface: it is easily installed using a Twist-and-Lock system under the BasicRail profile, optimizing load distribution.

Another highlight is the K2 TiltUp Vento, designed for large-scale flat roof projects. With three selectable tilt angles (20°, 25°, 30°), it can be ballasted or mounted directly. The TiltUp Vento proves particularly effective with large modules, in both vertical and horizontal orientations.

Flexible fixing on trapezoidal roofs

Trapezoidal sheet metal roofing is very common in industrial, commercial, and agricultural buildings. K2 Systems will be showcasing different variations of the Dome 6 system at Genera, available with both long (BasicRail) and short (MultiRail) profiles, which combine the roof fixing and mounting profile into a single unit.

Both solutions can be statically verified using the K2 Base planning software. Another option offering maximum flexibility is the combination of the K2 MiniRail with the MK2 profile channel, which will also be on display at the trade fair.

Sloping roofs: less is more

K2 Systems offers solutions for almost all types of pitched roofs, including ceramic, mixed, and flat tiles. In addition to the robust SolidHook, Genera will showcase the new K2 SingleHook 3S Light: a particularly flat and material-efficient roof hook that is easily installed under the tiles and reliably supports low to medium loads.

Façade systems: now digitally planable

With its modular K2 WallPV systems, K2 Systems offers solutions for the vertical installation of photovoltaic systems. The systems are suitable for various types of facades—concrete, brick, trapezoidal and corrugated metal sheets—and can be configured using the K2 Base software. This allows installers to efficiently and independently manage the entire project process, from planning to installation.

Perfectly modular according to the size of the industrial or commercial building, the systems can be used in both new constructions and renovations, even on facades with existing thermal insulation.

Ground-mounted photovoltaics: independent of the building

SolarPower Europe considers ground-mounted photovoltaics a key driver for solar expansion in Spain, both for meeting the objectives of the PNIEC (National Integrated Energy and Climate Plan, NECP) and for decarbonizing the economy.

In these types of projects, efficiency is a decisive factor. Therefore, K2 Systems will be showcasing its N-Rack pre-assembled system kits at Genera, offering a simple, no-calculation solution for small floor-mounted installations.

The system can be anchored to concrete foundations (2 × vertical, 20°) or to bolted foundations (3 × vertical, 15° or 2 × vertical, 20°). Planners can thus flexibly choose between driven, concrete, or bolted foundations, depending on the project size and ground conditions.
