The listed Valencian company  Endurance Motive , a company that develops, manufactures, integrates and operates BESS storage plants, has taken an important step for the future of its BESS systems development plan by obtaining the grid access permit, for both generation and demand, in one of the two 64 MWh Stand-Alone BESS projects that it is developing together with  Kenergy .

With this permit, Endurance Motive paves the way for the processing of its first BESS battery park in Spain, capable of storing and delivering energy with a capacity of 16 MW for four hours. The project, a pioneer in the Spanish market due to being developed, manufactured, built, and operated by a Spanish company, represents a strategic milestone for the company and a boost to the integration of renewables and efficient management of the electricity grid.

The development of this park is part of the joint venture agreement signed between Endurance Motive and Kenergy last July. The first objective of this agreement is the co-development of two stand-alone energy storage parks using BESS technology in Catalonia, which will contribute 128 MWh of capacity to the national electricity system.

This strategic alliance establishes a long-term collaboration between the two companies to jointly develop new stand-alone BESS plants in both Spain and Mexico, with the goal of achieving at least 800 MWh of storage capacity in the coming years.

Each of these first two BESS plants has been designed using LFP lithium batteries produced at the Endurance plant in Canet de Berenguer with a total of 24 Endurance ST5015 containers and 8 PCS from the also Valencian company Power Electronics.

Ander Muelas, president of Endurance Motive , said the granting of access “is excellent news for our industry and our alliance with Kenergy, whose joint goal is to generate opportunities with storage systems fully manufactured, integrated, and operated by a Spanish company.”

In turn,  Gabriel Aguirrezabal, CEO of Kenergy , expressed his satisfaction “not only for obtaining the capacity to generate and deliver energy, but also for the undoubted contribution of systems like this to the reinforcement and stability of the grid, which is so necessary at this time.”

This approval comes at a good time for Endurance Motive, which has consolidated its position on the stock market with sustained positive performance in recent months, reflecting market confidence in its commitment to innovation and energy storage. The Valencian company has quadrupled its value since January 2025, reaching an annual high of €4.44 at the end of August.

This notable performance has placed Endurance as the best-performing stock on the Spanish stock market, driven on the one hand by the need for renewable energy storage that became evident after the blackout of April 28 and on the other by the first contracts for BESS wind farms that the listed company signed this summer, which already predicts the explosion of a sector that will demand a massive incorporation of storage into the system.
