Redinter announced the launch of a national and international Public Tender for the construction of a new 1x220kV line reactor on the Nueva Pozo Almonte – Roncacho route, specifically at the Nueva Pozo Almonte Electrical Substation (S/E). This initiative is part of the expansion works for Chile’s National Electrical System (SEN).
The project, aimed at strengthening transmission infrastructure in northern Chile, has an estimated construction period of 42 months and a reference investment value of US$4,742,657. The project was previously published under Exempt Decree No. 266 of 2024 by the Ministry of Energy.
This tender is conducted within the framework of Law N°21.721 of 2024, which amends the General Law of Electrical Services, and Exempt Resolution N°98 of 2025 by the Ministry of Energy. This regulation authorizes the owner of the works to call for bids for the construction and execution of this important expansion, ensuring transparency and efficiency in the tendering process.

DISEÑO_EE__16.15_x_12.35_ENG_Additionally, the Instructions for Acquiring Bidding Documents and the Participant Registration will be available for consultation on Redinter’s website in Chile (https://www.redinter.cl/es/licitaciones/decreto-266-nueva-pozo-elmonte-roncacho), starting September 26, 2025.
Legal entities, both Chilean and foreign, may acquire the bidding documents and register in the Participant Registry. They may participate individually or as part of a consortium or association. Interested parties must comply with the requirements and conditions established in the General Law of Electrical Services and in the Bidding Documents, thereby guaranteeing the transparency and efficiency of the process.
