Cuenta atrás para el XII Foro Solar: el gran encuentro de la fotovoltaica tendrá lugar en un mes en Madrid Countdown to the XII Solar Forum: the major photovoltaic gathering will take place in one month in Madrid

With just one month to go, the XII Solar Forum, the leading event for the Spanish photovoltaic sector, is finalising preparations for this new edition, which will take place on 15 and 16 October at the Marriott Auditorium Hotel in Madrid. The forum will feature prominent political figures. One of the most recent confirmations is Alberto Nadal, the new Deputy Secretary for the Economy of the Partido Popular, who will present the energy policy proposed by the country’s main opposition party.

Organised by the Spanish Photovoltaic Union (UNEF), the XII Solar Forum will also bring together the most influential companies and leaders of the energy sector, with the aim of analysing the challenges and opportunities faced by one of the most strategic industries for the country’s energy and economic future: photovoltaics. This year’s edition will include high-level presentations with key figures from the photovoltaic and energy sectors, as well as a series of debates led by pioneering companies in the field.

Over two days, 17 round tables and keynote speeches will explore crucial topics: from the present and future challenges of the electricity system following the 28 April blackout, the boost to self-consumption (with the new Royal Decree about to be published), and energy storage (with new capacity mechanisms under review by the Council of State), to photovoltaics’ role in reindustrialisation, the social and economic integration of projects in local communities, project financing, and the technological innovation that will shape the future of the sector.

According to Rafael Benjumea, President of UNEF, this edition promises to be a “decisive occasion to understand, analyse, and project the future of our sector. We are at a highly significant moment for the industry, in which we must face, with courage, the benefits that photovoltaics can bring to our economy and achieve a truly effective ecological transition.”

Speakers will examine the present and future of photovoltaics, in a context marked by the goal of achieving an efficient and sustainable energy transition.

Last year, the Solar Forum brought together over one thousand professionals, consolidating its position as the sector’s main meeting point. In 2025, it will once again play a key role in debating photovoltaics’ role as a driver of Spain’s energy transition and reindustrialisation.
