360Energy is advancing in its internationalization process with a strategic entry into Spain, backed by its shareholder partner Grupo Stellantis. The company, recognized for its track record in Argentina with more than 250 MW of installed solar capacity, is now committed to transferring its know-how to Europe. “Our challenge is to prove in these markets that we are at the forefront of technology,” says Benjamín Reynal, Director of North Hemisphere Operations, in an exclusive interview during FES Iberia 2025.
The company arrives in the Spanish market with concrete projects in self-consumption and storage, promoting a technological integration model that combines solar carports with large-scale plants and hybrid systems. “We are working on large-scale projects of 20, 50 and even 100 MW, hybridized with batteries and with direct connection to the plants,” explains Reynal.
One of the strategic focuses of this expansion is the development of hybrid models with storage, a growing trend due to the current situation in European energy markets. “The saturation of grids and nodes that we are seeing in Spain and around the world makes this type of project increasingly attractive,” affirms the executive of 360Energy.
The company already has hands-on experience in combining generation and storage, having installed Argentina’s first hybrid battery park and its first large-scale solar plant. “We want to bring all that know-how to these markets,” Reynal emphasizes.
360Energy’s international growth is not limited to Spain, where the company is currently developing a solar self-consumption system in Vigo. Its expansion strategy also includes medium and large-scale projects in other key countries, aiming to consolidate its regional presence and replicate the successful business model developed in Argentina.
In Italy, the company is advancing with three solar parks: Atessa, Pomigliano and Cassino. In Brazil, it is executing the Porto Real, Goiana and Betim projects. Meanwhile, in Mexico, 360Energy is developing the Saltillo Complex, Saltillo Norte and Toluca plants, including an ambitious project of 100 MW distributed between carport and tracker systems, with 200 MWh of battery storage, projected to become the second-largest carport-based hybrid plant in the world.
Beyond the development of large-scale solar parks, the company’s strategy includes energy commercialization through Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), always leveraging its experience in engineering, construction, operation and maintenance of assets. The company aims to position itself as a key player in corporate self-consumption projects, responding to the growing demand for sustainable and efficient solutions. “I think it will be a model to replicate for other clients who see it as something attractive, as an opportunity,” anticipates Reynal.
The landing in Spain is not an isolated event but part of a global strategy based on knowledge transfer and synergies between markets. “These events are very valuable because they allow us to share challenges, advantages and next steps. We connect and we are very pleased to be here together,” concludes Reynal after his participation in FES Iberia 2025.
