360Energy and Stellantis Argentina have commissioned a new solar PV plant at the Córdoba Industrial Complex, marking a key milestone in their joint renewable energy strategy in Argentina.
The facility, with an installed capacity of 8 MW, is already operational and supplies clean, 100% renewable electricity to Stellantis’ automotive manufacturing plant. The project represents tangible progress towards greater energy autonomy for the industrial site.
The solar park is equipped with next-generation bifacial photovoltaic modules and single-axis tracking systems, enabling higher energy yields and improved efficiency—key factors in optimising solar PV performance in utility-scale installations.
Electricity generated on-site is complemented by additional renewable supply from the 360Energy La Rioja Solar Complex under Argentina’s MATER scheme (Renewable Energy Term Market), a corporate power purchase agreement (PPA) framework that allows large users to procure renewable electricity directly from generators. This combined approach supports the goal of powering the Córdoba facility entirely with renewable energy.
The project forms part of a broader USD 100 million joint investment plan launched in 2024, aimed at deploying sustainable energy solutions and reducing the carbon footprint of Stellantis’ industrial operations in the country.
Through these initiatives, 360Energy and Stellantis are reinforcing their commitment to the energy transition and decarbonisation. The development aligns with Stellantis’ global objective of achieving carbon neutrality by 2038, while strengthening the Córdoba Industrial Complex as a strategic manufacturing hub in South America.
