360Energy expands into Brazil and Mexico with over 150 MW of solar projects

The Argentine company is accelerating its international expansion with new projects in Brazil and Mexico totalling over 150 MW. At the same time, it reinforces its environmental impact: in 2024 it generated 413 GWh of solar energy and avoided 177,500 tonnes of CO₂, according to its Sustainability Report.

As part of its participation in the PV Book 2025, a reference publication for the Latin American solar sector, 360Energy sets out its roadmap to consolidate its role as a fully integrated regional energy company within the energy transition. The company is not only growing beyond Argentina, but also developing new technological solutions and strengthening its environmental and social impact.

The firm has launched a new phase of regional expansion with solar photovoltaic projects in Brazil and Mexico. It is currently developing a plant in Goiana, in Brazil’s northeast, and another in Saltillo, northern Mexico. Combined, the projects exceed 150 MW of installed capacity.

These initiatives complement an active portfolio in Argentina exceeding 200 MW, including projects under construction and others at advanced engineering stages. The strategy positions 360Energy as a Latin American solar player with international reach.

At the national level, key projects include the La Rioja III solar park, awarded under the RenMDI programme, and a photovoltaic development to power Stellantis’ industrial facility in El Palomar. The latter will be the company’s first to integrate Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), a technology now being extended to other installations.

Storage has become a new business unit for 360Energy, with solutions aimed at both new and existing solar projects. This shift aligns with the company’s goal of becoming a fully integrated solar firm, bringing together generation, storage, commercialisation, and technological innovation.

The energy generated is currently sold through three mechanisms: contracts within the Renewable Energy Forward Market (MATER), bilateral agreements with large users, and direct sales to CAMMESA. This commercial strategy ensures flexibility and diversified revenue streams, core to its business model.

Looking ahead, the company plans to incorporate complementary technologies such as solar carports, increased BESS capacity, and eventually, green hydrogen production in projects with suitable technical and industrial conditions or export potential.

This growth is backed by a strong sustainability policy. According to its 2024 Sustainability Report, 360Energy produced 413 GWh of solar energy and avoided 177,500 tonnes of CO₂ emissions. During the same year, it also launched operations in Spain, Mexico, and Brazil—a process involving internal restructuring, recruitment across new territories, and expansion of its management standards beyond Argentina.

According to Federico Sbarbi Osuna, CEO for the Southern Hemisphere, the process marked a significant transformation: “We evolved from being a local Argentine operator to having presence in new countries.”

The report also highlights the company’s social engagement, with community projects implemented in La Rioja, San Juan, Catamarca, and Buenos Aires, supporting a model that integrates economic development, clean technologies, and local engagement.

Through this strategy, 360Energy is establishing itself as a regional energy player in the transition, with a proposition built on international growth, technological integration, and sustainable management.
